Amr Bin Goudah

Asil colt foal by Goudah out of Shuwaimeh bint Warda born 27 April 2008. Bahrain/Egyptian.

His sire is Goudah, an Asil Egyptian stallion, bred at Al Zahara, Egypt and belonging to HRH The Prince of Wales and standing at stud here at Pearl Island Arabians. His dam is Shuwaimeh Bint Warda, an Asil Bahraini mare bred by HH Sheikh Mohammed Bin Sulman Alkhalifa at The Royal Stud of Bahrain.

Thankfully Shuwaimeh bint Warda, mother of last year's twins, only produced one son this spring however, it is rather a special little boy being the first ever foal by HRH The Prince of Wales's Straight Egyptian stallion Goudah. We have named him AMR BIN GOUDAH. At present Amr is a very attractive bay colour but the white spectacles round his eyes mean that he is almost certain to go white like his sire. Photos taken at between seven and ten days old. Not since the days of Abbas Pasha has pure Bahraini blood been crossed with pure Egyptian which makes this a very interesting colt.

Amr's sire Goudah

Amr Bin Goudah is the only son (so far) of Goudah. In his first season Goudah was allowed to cover 4 mares and produced 3 fillies and 1 colt from these coverings. As you can see this is an exceptional colt and once again Goudah has produced a foal with a lovely temperament. A good temperament is high on my list of essentials when breeding a foal and as Goudah had never been tried as a sire before I was looking for nice natured foals as well as good movers, good feet and good conformation. Goudah put all of these requirements into his foals.
